Direct Lending believes that every single adult that works hard deserves to receive legitimate and affordable borrowing, despite this not being an accurate reflection of the financing landscape at present. A May 2017 World Bank Report on Financial Inclusion states that in Malaysia, only 25% of the adult population, and 15% in the B40 group, have borrowed from licensed banking institutions. This limitation of financing options creates more opportunities for scammers or illegal money lenders to take advantage.
