Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and execute debit card CVPs, including product enhancements, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns
  • Review business requirements and analyze the gaps between business needs and technical specifications
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Analyze debit card transaction trends to identify improvement opportunities and generate actionable insights for decision-making and optimization
  • Financial Planning:
  • Manage budget allocation for debit card operations and maintain projections of the cost and revenue of the debit card to ensure sound financial planning
  • External Stakeholder Management:
  • Oversee commercial and legal contracts with existing and prospective partners
  • Manage relationships with existing service providers to ensure service level agreements are met and identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction
  • Manage relationships with card schemes (Paynet and Mastercard) and existing partners
  • Customer Experience:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience in UI design, payment flows, and support processes, focusing on simplicity, security, and convenience
  • Conduct internal training on new debit card products or features
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing updates, insights, and recommendations related to card business operations, strategy and feature enhancements
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay informed about regulatory developments and industry trends to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards related to payments and debit card operations
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Explore new opportunities for innovation, efficiency gains, and enhanced customer value by benchmarking against market-leading issuers and fintechs
Qualifications
  • Strong computer literacy skills - Microsoft word, excel, power point
  • 2-3 years in Cards or 4+yrs in Banking
  • Understanding of card payments is a plus
  • Past experience with banks, fintechs, processors, card schemes in a payments related role
  • Understanding of digital trends, digital solutions and technologies
  • Methodological thinker, with strong experience with process /c customer journey mapping
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Strong ability to establish, develop and maintain operational relationships and vendor management skills
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to lead a meeting / discussion with external parties such vendors, paynet, other partners.
