Corporate Strategy Manager
Description
Curlec is seeking a Corporate Strategy Associate to work directly with the CEO and its leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CEO and learn how to build a business and bring it to life. For anyone wanting to start their own company someday, this is a great opportunity to be involved in setting something up and learning on the front line
- Contribute to operational and logistical matters – helping sort out day-to-day challenges
- Proficient in transforming business data into actionable insights through systematic and defined analysis methodologies
- Strategy development, including project scoping, hypotheses development, financial and business modelling, strategic options identification, consensus building, and implementation. Projects will include defining and tracking annual company-wide objectives and key results (OKRs), helping with financials, and building business cases for strategic initiatives
- Evaluate the performance of current business operations and identify, own & solve for challenges to help achieve OKRs
- Develop analytical frameworks to support the company in new markets and products, drive analysis that could lead to innovative projects, and boost the company’s expansion
- Coordinate internal stakeholders (Product, Sales, Marketing, Tech) and ensure alignment with the company’s vision and goals
- Facilitate and coordinate leadership meetings, ensuring that key decisions and action items are documented, communicated and addressed
- Creating literature for internal (decks for founders, CXOs) as well as external consumption (events, pitches)
- This is not a typical 9-5 role, so don’t apply if you’re expecting one!
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of work experience in a fast-paced environment (Consulting / Investment Banking / Startup)
- Extremely driven strategic thinker with strong business acumen - we are growing fast and want someone who wants to take their career to the next level with us
- Adept analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make logical, data-driven decisions
- Effective stakeholder management across functions & hierarchies, with exceptional communication skills
- Comfortable with using tools such as PowerPoint/Google Slides, Excel/Google Sheets or other data analysis tools
- Iterative and quick learner – we are a fast growing company in an extremely fluid industry. We like to test, break, learn and scale
- Being able to balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength
- Self-starter attitude - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role
- Excellent program management skills - you bring impressive know-how (and the understanding that there’s always more to learn)
