Fincrime Prevention Analyst (AML)
Description

In this role you will be responsible for conducting internal reviews of possible violations of AML regulations and all matters related to potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud. Conduct transaction reviews of clients, quality assurances for account approvals and onboarding due diligence and make recommendations for appropriate disposition, which are supported by factual evidence and analysis, to Compliance Manager. Support senior staff in performing various global AML surveillance and monitoring and reporting of suspicious activities.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews monthly and daily transaction alerts
  • Conducts real-time transaction monitoring for sanction names and other internally set monitoring rules
  • Liaise with Compliance Manager on transaction reviews, client information updates and escalations
  • Regularly updates and ensures accuracy of all records
  • Supports senior staff in responding to regulatory and internal audit requests, as well as ad-hoc transaction reviews
  • Masters both proprietary and vendor-based systems to help identify solutions to surveillance issues that may arise in day-to-day activity
  • Actively participates in the annual AML risk assessment by testing adherence to the AML policy and procedures
  • To assist in matters related to AML operations and compliance risk for trade remittance
  • To ensure appropriate avenues for any suspicious client activity or specific transactions to be escalated for investigation
  • Ensures timely completion of all mandatory training requirements
  • Must take evening to late night shift
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree; post graduate diploma, professional degree or a master's degree in any field would be a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in AML and trade compliance in remittance
  • Proficient in MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle confidential information and with discretion
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner
  • Highly disciplined person, self-motivated with good personal integrity and detail oriented
  • Must be able to work in a pressured and fast-moving environment
  • Resilient attitude and have a good sense of responsibility and autonomy for work
  • Must be able to work in a small office environment and be willing to assist team members proactively
  • Excellent time management skills – Be able to organize and meet deadlines as required
  • Must be able to work weekends and shift (graveyard and mid evening shift)
  • Must be able to work and liaise with peers and colleagues globally and overcome time zone and cultural differences
