Perodua has launched P-Circle, a new superapp featuring its e-wallet P-Duit, marking the automaker’s move toward offering Mobility as a Service (MaaS) in Malaysia.
The P-Duit e-wallet supports payments for almost all transactions across Malaysia and will be accepted at electric vehicle (EV) charging stations through agreements with charging point operators.
Perodua said this feature will complement its upcoming EV launch, allowing users to manage vehicle and lifestyle needs through one platform.
Perodua President and CEO, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, said,
“The P-Circle offers mobility as a lifestyle as all these offerings covers a significant portion of our online services engagement under one superapp.
This diversification into tech-based business is in line with our future direction and the auto industry’s future in terms of convergence with consumer preference towards connecting their vehicles, and even homes with the Internet.”
Beyond payments, the app integrates lifestyle, commerce, and mobility features.
These include P-Reward, a loyalty programme; P-Health, a smartwatch-based health tracker; P-Home, a smart-home integration system; and P-Calendar, a reminder tool.
Users can also share location updates through the Check-in feature.
P-Chat serves as a forum for automotive discussions, while P-Entertainment offers local streaming content and contests.
For EV users, P-Charge provides mobile charging points and P-Charge Mobile offers emergency charging services in West Malaysia.
The P-Guardian feature enables home monitoring through a camera linked to the charging unit.
PAC Home supports home-based charging, while P-Vehicle, set to launch after Perodua’s EV debut, will allow users to remotely control car functions such as locking, air-conditioning, and location tracking.
The app also features P-Marketplace, which currently offers official Perodua parts and accessories and will expand to verified third-party sellers in its next phase, along with P-Map, the brand’s navigation system.
P-Circle is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Accessories such as the mobile charger and smartwatch can be purchased at Perodua Sales and Service outlets nationwide.
