Bank Rakyat and Paysys by NTT DATA have launched an Android payment soundbox for Malaysian SMEs.
The device combines digital payment acceptance, real-time voice notifications and digital receipts in a single terminal.
Powered by the Kozen N2 Android EMV device, it supports Visa, Mastercard, MyDebit, e-wallet and contactless payments.
Merchants receive an instant voice notification after each successful transaction, providing immediate payment confirmation.
The device is designed to help MSMEs manage digital payments more easily while improving transaction visibility and operational efficiency.

Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bank Rakyat, said,
“Through our collaboration with Paysys, we are introducing a first-of-its-kind Android EMV soundbox payment device that enables merchants to accept digital payments with greater confidence while supporting Malaysia’s journey towards a more inclusive and cashless economy, aligned with our ‘Untuk Semua’ aspiration.”

Jeremy Low, Chief Operating Officer of Paysys, said,
“This collaboration with Bank Rakyat brings together innovation and practicality in a single device that enables merchants, especially SMEs, to accept payments, receive instant transaction confirmations, and issue digital receipts seamlessly.
By simplifying payment acceptance and improving visibility over transactions, we are helping businesses operate more efficiently while supporting the continued growth of Malaysia’s digital economy.”
