MYEG users can no longer renew road tax or pay Road Transport Department (JPJ) summonses through the platform following a service suspension effective 5 October.
JPJ cited contractual compliance and obligations that the companies concerned had yet to fulfil or settle.
The decision applies to My E.G. Sdn. Bhd. and Zetrix AI Berhad.
Zetrix AI is the listed parent company formerly known as MY E.G. Services Berhad, which changed its name in 2025.
According to The Edge Malaysia, Transport Minister Anthony Loke disclosed that Zetrix AI owed JPJ about RM314 million in collections it had failed to remit from May to September 2026.
He attributed the suspension to the outstanding amount.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing on 5 October, Zetrix AI confirmed the temporary suspension and disclosed that it was in discussions to resolve the issues.
The company will announce any material developments when appropriate or necessary.
Where motorists can access JPJ services
All JPJ services previously offered through the group’s channels are affected.
Motorists can use JPJ counters, the MyJPJ app, the JPJ Public Portal, kiosks and mobile counters, depending on the transaction and vehicle category.
Road tax renewals are also available at post offices for private vehicles and through Puspakom for private vehicles and commercial vehicles in the de-controlled category.
Driving licence renewals can be completed through JPJ’s channels and post offices.
Learner driving licence applications and traffic summons checks and payments remain available through these JPJ channels.
Vehicle ownership transfers can be handled at JPJ counters.
Other options include kiosks for privately owned motorcycles belonging to Malaysian citizens, the public portal for private vehicles owned by Malaysian citizens or companies, and eAuto’s ownership transfer services.
Bookings for the Computerised Road Rules Test (KPP01) made through MYEG before 5 October remain valid.
New bookings from that date must be handled through KPP Test Centres at driving institutes nationwide, where the tests will also take place.
Non-Malaysian citizens can pay traffic summonses through JPJ mobile units at the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex and Bangunan Sultan Iskandar in Johor.
These payment facilities operate from 8 am to 10 pm at the Malaysia–Singapore border entry points.
