Skyro has launched its first credit product in Malaysia, offering cash loans through its mobile app. First-time borrowers can apply for up to RM1,000, subject to approval, with a four-month repayment tenure.
The company plans to gradually increase borrowing limits, with a longer-term goal of offering loans of up to RM10,000.
Skyro announced in September 2026 that it had secured approval from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) to provide online moneylending services in Malaysia.
Malaysia is Skyro’s second Southeast Asian market after the Philippines.
Skyro operates in Malaysia through AT Series Capital Sdn Bhd, a moneylender licensed by KPKT under the Moneylenders Act 1951.
How Skyro’s Malaysia Cash Loan Works
Malaysian citizens with a valid MyKad and regular income can apply through the Skyro app by verifying their identity and submitting supporting income documents.
The entire process is digital, from credit assessment to loan approval and disbursement, without requiring a branch visit.
Skyro assesses applications based on applicants’ income, existing financial commitments and credit history. The company says most applicants receive a decision within minutes.
The loan carries a fixed interest rate of 1.5% per month. Before accepting, borrowers can review their approved amount, monthly instalments, total repayment obligation and applicable fees.
Borrowers must also complete credit-education videos before electronically signing their loan agreements.
Once the agreement is signed, funds are transferred to the borrower’s nominated bank account, with disbursement times depending on the receiving bank.

“Whether it’s a home repair or an unexpected expense, we want Malaysians to have another option to consider when they need short-term financing,”
said Arsen Liametov, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Skyro.
Liametov said making credit available was “only one part of it”, adding:
“It’s equally important that customers understand what they’re borrowing, what it will cost and how they’ll repay it before making that decision.”
Skyro Plans More Financing Options by End-2026
Skyro is targeting the introduction of a product with a set credit limit by the end of 2026 as it expands its financing options for Malaysian consumers.
The company said it would use insights from its initial cash loan offering to better understand local borrowing needs and develop additional products.
“We’re starting with cash loans to better understand the needs of Malaysian consumers and how they use credit,”
Liametov said.
“As we build that understanding, we want to introduce more flexible financing options that can support customers as their needs evolve.”
