CIMB Enables Businesses to Pay Taxes Directly Through Its Online Platforms

CIMB Bank and CIMB Islamic Bank has integrated a new e-billing feature by Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) to make it easier for businesses to pay their taxes directly through the online banking platforms.

The bank claims to be the first in the market to implement the new e-billing service available on its CIMB BizChannel and CIMB Clicks platforms.

To initiate a payment, customers will be required to obtain a bill number through LHDN’s one-stop MyTax service portal.

Subsequently, they can log in to CIMB BizChannel or CIMB Clicks, navigate to the bill payment section, select ‘LHDN e-Billing’ as the biller and enter the bill number.

The tax payer’s details will be automatically populated and customers will be able to proceed to pay directly from their account.

The new e-billing feature complements other tax payment methods available via CIMB such as FPX and online credit card payments via the MyTax portal, as well as the bank’s ATMs and over the counter at all CIMB branches nationwide.

With the integration of LHDN’s e-billing system feature into CIMB’s platforms, each tax payment transaction will have its own unique number for LHDN’s reference. This will ensure greater accuracy and transparency, with secure payment validation through the direct linkage with LHDN.
