Payment solutions provider GHL Systems Berhad has announced the integration of Mastercard’s Click to Pay service for 2,000 of its online merchants.
This move aims to streamline the online payment process by implementing Click to Pay‘s intelligent recognition technology, which allows consumers to complete purchases without the need for manual card entry or password memorisation.
The integration of Click to Pay is expected to benefit both consumers and merchants. For shoppers, the service simplifies online transactions by allowing the use of a single, secure profile across various devices, including smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
Merchants, on the other hand, are anticipated to experience higher conversion rates due to the ease and security offered by the payment solution.
Mastercard’s Click to Pay, built on the EMVco industry standard, mirrors the security of Chip and Pin technology that ensures that each transaction is safeguarded.
GHL’s addition of Click to Pay to its existing e-commerce gateway services enhances the payment options available to merchants without the need for extra integration efforts.
Malaysian cinema operator TGV Cinemas, which has 39 locations nationwide and over 3 million members in their loyalty programme, is set to be one of the key businesses implementing this technology, aiming to offer a hassle-free payment experience for online ticket purchases.
Kevin Lee, CEO, GHL Malaysia said,
“With Click to Pay, merchants can now seamlessly meet these evolving consumer demands, offering a user-friendly, secure, and convenient payment experience that aligns perfectly with the expectations of the modern age.
Mastercard Click to Pay is another strategic collaboration which will enable our customers to increase and improve the ways to pay continually.”
Beena Pothen, Country Manager, Malaysia and Brunei, Mastercard said,
“Mastercard Click to Pay is a smarter, and secure way to pay online, perfect for today’s digital first consumers.
The solution delivers a more consistent experience for consumers that is fast and safe, without the need to enter their card credentials or store sensitive information with different merchants.”
