CIMB Bank is enhancing security measures for its CIMB Clicks online banking platform and CIMB OCTO app starting late June 2024.

These updates aim to protect CIMB‘s customers from financial fraud and scams, in line with regulatory guidelines.

Key changes include mandatory SecureTAC approval for all fund transfers, including those to favorite recipients such as JomPAY, Pay Bills, Top Ups, and transfers to own accounts.

Additionally, new users will have a default transaction limit of RM5,000 for transfers to their own accounts.

Transaction limit increases on the CIMB OCTO app will be subject to a 12-hour cooling-off period.

The transaction limit function on the CIMB Clicks app will be discontinued as part of these security enhancements, ensuring a safer online banking experience for all CIMB customers.
