The upcoming SCxSC Fintech Summit, taking place on 1-2 October 2024, will gather local and regional industry leaders, technologists, policymakers, investors, and fintech communities.
The summit will engage, network, and explore opportunities in fintech innovation with a focus on the future of the capital market.
Focusing on two key themes – artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain, the summit will dive into visionary future ideas, showcasing use cases, and charting building blocks to enable purpose-driven innovation within the market.
Now in its 11th year, SCxSC will feature global leaders such as Foong Chee Mun, CEO of YTL AI Labs; Dr. Siew Chan Cheong, Group Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at Maybank; Henry Zhang, Founder & CEO of DigiFT; Dr. Steven Hu, Head of Digital Assets at Standard Chartered Bank; Helene Li, CEO & Co-Founder of GoImpact Capital Partners; and Ian Lloyd, CEO of Kenanga Digital.
Attendees will experience a blend of cutting-edge demos, insightful roundtables, vibrant exhibitions, and inspiring keynotes and panel discussions throughout the event.
AI and blockchain solution providers like Calastone, Sumsub, and Cokeeps will host innovation showcases to demonstrate real-world applications of these technologies in the financial industry.
The final demo day of the SC’s Islamic Capital Market accelerator programme, FIKRA ACE, will also take place during the summit.
The SCxSC Fintech Summit aims to deepen market understanding of emerging innovations underpinned by AI and blockchain, and foster collaboration by exploring use cases, opportunities, and potential partnerships that can drive the Malaysian capital market forward.
The SCxSC is part of the SC’s broader innovation agenda to harness technology to support the Capital Market Masterplan 3 (CMP3) objectives of catalysing competitive economic growth, empowering investors and shaping a stakeholder economy which is inclusive and sustainable.
This two-day summit is supported by Kenanga Investment Bank and Crest Infosolutions.
Another highlight are specialised sessions by the summit’s community partners, Fintech Association of Malaysia (FAOM) and Artem Ventures, enabling more networking opportunities for the ecosystem.
