Tune Protect Malaysia has introduced a new feature enabling instant claims payouts upon approval for its travel insurance via DuitNow.

Available on the Tune Protect mobile app, the “Travel Easy Instant Travel Claims Payout” feature aims to simplify the claims process for travellers with a fully digital experience.

The Travel Easy policy, which provides coverage for flights across all airlines, now includes this new feature.

It offers expedited claims for delays between three and nine hours without requiring documentation like itineraries or delay confirmations.

For delays exceeding nine hours, minimal supporting documents may be needed.

Claims are processed on the same day of approval, providing instant reimbursement through DuitNow.

To file a claim, travellers can open the Tune Protect app, navigate to the claims section, and complete the simplified form.

After selecting the Travel Delay benefit and DuitNow as the reimbursement method, claims can be submitted in just a few clicks.

Under the Travel Easy policy, customers receive RM200 for the first three hours of delay, followed by an additional RM200 for every subsequent six-hour delay.

The company’s “3:3:3” service standard—allowing purchases within 3 minutes, responses within 3 hours, and claims payouts within 3 working days—is further enhanced with DuitNow, reducing reimbursement time to the same day for approved claims.

Travellers purchasing the Travel Easy policy online will get an instant 25% discount.

The policy and claims feature are accessible via the Tune Protect mobile app.

“By leveraging real-time flight data for claim verification and using DuitNow for instant payments, we ensure that the claims process is as seamless and expedited as possible. Our fully digital and paperless process allows travellers to submit claims efficiently and easily, from anywhere at any time.

This ensures a seamless, stress-free experience, especially when it is needed most. By leveraging advanced technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA), we have automated the entire claims assessment process, from registration to payment. This not only eliminates tedious paperwork but also significantly accelerates approvals and payouts, delivering an enhanced insurance journey to our customers.”

said Jubin Mehta, Chief Executive Officer, Tune Protect Malaysia.
