Insurtech company PolicyStreet has introduced a free road tax initiative for selected Proton and Perodua models to help Malaysians cope with rising insurance premiums.
The promotion, available until 28 February, offers free road tax for owners of Perodua Axia, Bezza, Proton Saga, and Iriz who renew their car insurance through PolicyStreet’s platform.
Other car owners can benefit from discounts of up to 70% on road tax.
PolicyStreet’s platform allows users to compare quotes from up to 12 insurers or choose from five trusted providers to find the most suitable coverage.
Eligible Proton and Perodua owners will see the cost of their road tax waived at checkout, while discounts are also available for other models.
To ease financial strain, PolicyStreet offers a 0% interest Easy Payment Plan, enabling customers to pay for their car insurance in instalments over three, six, or 12 months.
The plan is supported by nine participating banks, including Maybank, CIMB Bank, and Public Bank.
PolicyStreet has served over 5 million customers nationwide and continues to develop solutions aimed at improving accessibility to insurance.
The company has collaborated with platforms such as Shopee and Carsome to embed insurance products, including micro-policies and SME packages, within their ecosystems.
“At PolicyStreet, we are dedicated to creating solutions that improve financial inclusion for all Malaysians.
This free road tax initiative reflects our mission to make car insurance renewals more affordable and accessible, especially during these challenging times,”
said Yen Ming Lee, Co-founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of PolicyStreet.
