Seven Bank, the banking business of the 7-Eleven group, is expanding its ATM network into Malaysia, marking its fourth overseas market after the United States, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The company has already installed its first cash recycling ATM in Rawang and plans to roll out 100 more machines across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and Johor.
This initiative aims to improve banking access in suburban areas where traditional banking services may be limited.
Seven Bank, which had installed more than 21,000 ATMs internationally by 2024, sees Malaysia as a promising market due to its growing population, robust GDP, and high levels of currency circulation despite the rise of cashless transactions.
The company plans to eventually expand its ATM network to Sabah and Sarawak in 2026.
Seven Bank intends to work closely with local partners and leverage its experience in combining retail and financial services to benefit Malaysian communities.

“We have established a new brand name, Reachful, as a strong start in Malaysia and a continued growth of our overseas business.
By collaborating with our partner companies to deploy ATM services in 7-Eleven stores in Malaysia, we hope to enrich the lives of the Malaysian people and contribute to further social development and economic growth.”
said Masaaki Matsuhashi, President and Representative Director of Seven Bank Limited.
“Malaysia shows a significant growth in population and GDP. In the cashless society, currency in circulation is at a high level too. We found the market very promising to expand our business,”
said Jin Sudo, CEO of Abadi Tambah Mulia Internasional Malaysia.
