HSBC has opened its flagship Wealth Centre in Menara IQ at the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX).
The centre is designed for HSBC Premier Elite and high-net-worth clients, offering a private space to consult with Senior Relationship Managers and access tailored wealth solutions.
The launch reflects Malaysia’s growing wealth market, as the nation moves towards high-income status. In 2024, high-net-worth individuals in Malaysia held liquid assets worth US$176.62 billion, with an expected annual growth rate of 6.1% until 2028.
With Malaysia chairing ASEAN in 2025, the Wealth Centre supports the region’s importance as a hub for wealth creation and investment.
YB Liew, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, emphasised the centre’s significance:
“The opening of HSBC’s wealth centre solidifies KL’s position as a regional investment hub. Beyond wealth management, it aims to drive industrial growth and position Malaysia as a key player in manufacturing and technology.”
Linda Yip, Country Head of International Wealth and Premier Banking, highlighted HSBC’s commitment to the growing wealth segment:
“TRX’s role as an international financial hub aligns perfectly with HSBC’s position as a leading international bank. We plan to replicate this model in other key locations across Malaysia.We are seeing rising demand for sophisticated wealth solutions. Our goal is to support clients at every step of their journey.”
The centre also features “Red and Gold,” an art installation by Malaysian artist Red Hong Yi.
Made with over 11,811 20-sen coins, it forms the image of a golden hibiscus, symbolising the art of wealth-building.
