Generali Malaysia has announced the appointments of Soo Wai Har as the new Chief Executive Officer of Generali Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad and Lee Chee Fooi as Chief Distribution Officer of Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad.
Before joining Generali Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad, Soo Wai Har held the position of Chief Commercial Lines Officer at Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad, bringing with her over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.
With extensive industry experience, she has contributed to innovation and operational improvements across various areas, including finance, sales and marketing, distribution, and operations.
She is also a strong supporter of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), actively promoting inclusive initiatives within Generali Malaysia.
Soo Wai Har takes over from Rebecca Tan, who will be moving into the role of President Director & Chief Executive Officer at PT Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia.
Lee Chee Fooi brings extensive experience in the general insurance sector, having previously served as Chiefa Agency Officer at Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad.
He has held various senior leadership positions across multiple distribution channels and has been instrumental in building and leading high-performing insurance agency networks.
Fabrice Benard will continue in his role as Country Head, overseeing both Generali entities in Malaysia and ensuring seamless leadership and execution of Generali Malaysia’s strategic priorities.
