Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet) and Swipey Digital Services have formed a partnership to increase the use of digital payments among SMEs in Malaysia.
The collaboration aims to integrate DuitNow QR into Swipey‘s financial platform, providing a cashless payment option for businesses.
With over 2.5 million DuitNow QR touchpoints nationwide, the initiative supports Malaysia’s digitalisation efforts by streamlining financial management for SMEs.
It aligns with the MyDigital Blueprint, which targets a 30% increase in productivity across all business sectors through digital adoption.
By adopting Swipey’s platform, businesses can improve cash flow management, automate reconciliation processes, and reduce inefficiencies associated with outdated petty cash systems.
To encourage adoption, Swipey is offering up to 3% cashback on DuitNow QR transactions for a limited time.
The platform is already being used by organisations across various industries, including retail and grant management, with brands such as Maxis, Zus Coffee, BFM, and Baskin Robbins, as well as government agencies like MyDIGITAL, leveraging its automation tools.
PayNet and Swipey plan to continue their collaboration to promote financial digitalisation among SMEs.
This includes educational webinars throughout 2025 to improve financial literacy.
They also aim to expand DuitNow QR’s interoperability within ASEAN, facilitating seamless cross-border transactions and providing businesses with greater regional payment capabilities.
Future plans include additional business partnerships and new incentives to further support the transition to cashless operations.

Gary Yeoh, PayNet’s Chief Marketing Officer, said,
“This collaboration with Swipey represents a significant step forward in driving digital payment adoption among SMEs. Our mission at PayNet is to create a seamless and secure payments ecosystem.
Integrating DuitNow QR with Swipey’s financial automation tools will enable more businesses to thrive in a digital-first economy. By extending cashless solutions beyond our everyday consumers, we are closing the loop on full cashless adoption, accelerating the shift towards a fully integrated digital economy.”
Kalyana Mohan, CEO of Swipey, said,
“Many businesses underestimate the long-term impact of finance automation, but it is essential for sustained growth.
By integrating DuitNow QR into our platform, we are making it easier for SMEs to automate processes, improve cash flow visibility, and make smarter financial decisions faster.”
