Soft Space has announced that Serene Teh Wan Lee will be temporarily stepping aside from her role as Chief Financial Officer.
According to a press release, the decision was reached through mutual agreement between Serene and the company’s leadership team, in light of long-standing personal matters.
Serene has been navigating a prolonged and challenging marital situation, which has affected her personal well-being and focus.
Her decision to step aside was made in consultation with the leadership team and board of directors, in order to prioritise her well-being and ensure sustained leadership focus and stability within the company.
“Serene has our complete support,”
said Joel Tay, CEO of Soft Space.
“She is going through a difficult chapter in her personal life, and we fully support her decision to step aside. As the company continues to move forward rapidly, it is important that all executive leadership remains fully focused.”
During this transitional period, CFO responsibilities will be jointly handled by CEO Joel Tay, Chief Strategy Officer Chris Leong, and Financial Controller Rick Leong, who has been working closely with Serene and the wider leadership team.
This arrangement aims to ensure continuity, stability, and alignment within the Finance function and across the organisation.
