Public transport users in Malaysia will be able to purchase and activate the My50 unlimited travel pass digitally through the TNG eWallet app starting 1 July, removing the need to visit service counters.
The initiative was announced by Prasarana and the Touch ‘n Go Group.
It forms part of efforts to support the digitalisation of public transportation services and encourage the shift toward a cashless society.
The feature is available to Malaysian citizens with a compatible smartphone that supports the app.
Users are required to complete a one-time electronic identity verification process before purchasing the pass digitally.

Prasarana Group President and CEO Mohd Azharuddin Mat Sah said the digitalisation of My50 aims to improve convenience, save time, and enhance the overall usability of the pass.
He added that the initiative is expected to benefit around 250,000 existing users and help encourage wider adoption of public transport.

Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd CEO Praba Sangarajoo said the collaboration reflects the company’s continued commitment to providing digital solutions that meet the daily needs of users.
He said the partnership with Prasarana is part of ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and efficiency through innovation.
The digitalisation of My50 is part of a wider push to simplify the public transport experience.
Prasarana is also planning to expand digital features to other products such as the MyCity pass.
