Malaysians can now secure personal accident coverage from RM20, thanks to a new tie-up between ShopeePay and Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad.
The plans, priced at RM50 and RM75 annually before sales tax, are open to Malaysian citizens aged 18 to 59.
They are eligible under the government’s Perlindungan Tenang Voucher (PTV) Programme, which provides a RM30 subsidy to up to two million Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah recipients under the National Budget 2025.
With the voucher, premiums start at RM20 excluding sales tax, or RM24 with sales tax.

Plan 1 provides RM30,000 coverage for death or permanent disablement, RM50 per day in hospital income for up to 30 days, medical expenses of up to RM500, and a one-time flood evacuation relief of RM500.
Plan 2 extends the protection to RM50,000, RM100 per day in hospital income, RM750 for medical expenses, and RM750 for flood relief.
Both hospital income and medical expense claims apply only at government hospitals.
Voucher redemption can be completed directly in the ShopeePay or Shopee app by selecting “Tenang” on the Insurance Homepage, confirming eligibility, and finalising the application.
Successful applicants will be notified by email and receive a RM10 Shopee voucher with no minimum spend.
Voucher eligibility can also be checked at myptv.my.
The initiative supports Bank Negara Malaysia’s Perlindungan Tenang programme, which seeks to expand access to affordable protection, particularly for lower-income groups.
