Maybank has added a Bangsar South branch to its 473-strong network, introducing a redesigned branch format.
The new outlet reflects the bank’s effort to modernise its physical network while maintaining in-person services alongside its growing digital offerings.
The Bangsar South branch features open-service areas where staff can assist customers throughout the space, a community area open to the public for events, workshops and collaborations, a Digital Xperience Zone equipped with iPads and Smart Recycling Machines, and a Virtual Room for secure video consultations with Maybank Group Customer Care or product specialists.
The bank’s physical network spans conventional and Islamic branches, service centres, private and premier wealth centres, auto finance centres, SME centres and commercial centres.
Maybank@Campus touchpoints have also expanded, with the ninth outlet opening at UiTM Puncak Alam in May and a tenth planned for Universiti Utara Malaysia, serving nearly 220,000 tertiary students and campus communities with a digital-first, self-service concept and financial literacy initiatives.
Maybank plans to add two new locations in Johor’s Forest City and Medini in the coming months, extending its 59 existing touchpoints in the state.
Forest City is designated as a Special Financial Zone within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, and the outlets will support cross-border investments, tailored advisory and wealth solutions, and financing for individuals, business owners and foreign investors.

“While digital banking continues to grow rapidly, we know that physical touchpoints remain vital in ensuring financial inclusion, especially in communities that value face-to-face interaction.
Our goal is to combine digital innovation with the personal touch of human connection, delivered through Malaysia’s most extensive and accessible banking network. Maybank Bangsar South is a showcase of this approach, reimagining the banking experience to be more open, personal, and community-driven. It reaffirms our commitment to serve every segment of society,”
said Syed Ahmad Taufik Albar, Group CEO, Community Financial Services, Maybank.
