Ryt Bank has added a Chinese-language option to its app, widening its reach as Malaysia celebrates its national day.
The new feature complements the app’s existing Bahasa Malaysia and English versions, aiming to make digital banking more accessible to a broader base of Malaysians.
These include a smarter AI system capable of natural language interaction and handling QR payments alongside transfers and bill payments. A new toggle feature will also be introduced to speed up transactions.
The app will add a fully integrated JomPAY flow, allowing customers to manage bills and payments in one place.
Ryt Bank offers daily interest of up to 4 percent per year with no lock-in period.
It also provides PayLater credit of up to RM1,499, with 1.2 percent cashback capped at RM5 per month on DuitNow QR payments and double cashback with partners such as Yes stores.
Customers can also expect a Visa-powered card with in-app switching between debit and credit functions, a feature coming soon.
The card offers 1.2 percent unlimited overseas cashback, zero foreign transaction fees, zero ATM withdrawal fees nationwide and partner rewards including Shopee vouchers, 20 percent off dining at YTL Hotels restaurants and rewards with Koppiku.
Security features include biometric login, real-time fraud alerts, and protection under the Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation (PIDM) up to RM250,000.
The bank plans to roll out further updates at the end of September.

“As the world’s first AI-powered bank, Ryt Bank is committed to making innovation accessible to our community.
By offering Chinese in the app, Ryt Bank ensures that every Malaysian feels included in the future of banking. We are building a smarter, more inclusive financial system for everyone.”
