ShopBack has confirmed it will discontinue its Pay service in Malaysia from 25 March 2026, while continuing to operate its other offerings in the country.
Retailers will no longer accept ShopBack Pay from that date, and the feature will be removed from the app.
The company said the move follows a review of its product portfolio, with resources redirected to other areas of the platform.
Its online cashback services and broader rewards ecosystem will remain available in Malaysia.
The change will also affect Return Cashback linked to ShopBack Pay.
From 2 March 2026, new Return Cashback will no longer be issued for transactions made using the service.
Pending Return Cashback from eligible purchases made before that date can still be confirmed.
Under the current structure, Return Cashback for in-store purchases is confirmed after a subsequent ShopBack Pay transaction at the same retailer within a set period.
For eligible purchases made before 2 March 2026, users may also confirm pending Return Cashback by making any qualifying online purchase through the platform before 25 March 2026.
Existing Cashback balances, pending Cashback from non-Pay merchants and withdrawals will not be affected.
No action is required unless users wish to confirm pending Return Cashback earned before 2 March 2026.
