TNG Digital has partnered with KK Mart to pay migrant workers through TNG eWallet across Malaysia.
The move expands digital payroll access for workers who may not have bank accounts, while giving employers a recognised salary disbursement option.
TNG eWallet has been recognised by Jabatan Tenaga Kerja Semenanjung Malaysia as one of the recognised payroll solutions for employers since August 2024.

Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital said,
“Many unbanked communities, such as migrant workers, face roadblocks when it comes to opening bank accounts or receiving salaries securely. By providing salary disbursement through TNG eWallet, we empower them with financial control, security, and convenience.
We’re proud to support KK Mart’s journey in meeting real needs on the ground, starting with something as fundamental as getting paid. This is more than a collaboration, it’s a step towards a more inclusive digital economy.”
Under the arrangement, wages are paid directly into workers’ TNG eWallet accounts, reducing cash handling and giving workers quicker access to their earnings.
More than 160,000 migrant workers in Malaysia already receive wages through TNG eWallet, with total salary disbursements through the platform reaching RM4.8 billion in 2025.
KK Mart is among the first major retail chains in Malaysia to adopt e-wallet-based salary payments at scale.
The move is expected to streamline payroll processes and reduce administrative work.
Workers paid through TNG eWallet can use the funds to make purchases, transfer money, and access services linked to their DuitNow account number without needing a traditional bank account.

“At KK Mart, we’re committed to making a difference in the lives of our employees.
By adopting TNG eWallet as one of our salary payment methods, we’re eliminating the obstacles many migrant workers face with traditional banking and ensuring they’re paid reliably, securely, and on time,”
said Datuk Seri Dr. Chai Kee Kan, Founder and Director of KK Supermart & Superstore Sdn Bhd.
Beyond payroll, TNG Digital said the e-wallet also offers services used by migrant workers in Malaysia, including remittance, mobile top-ups, and access to the Touch ’n Go eWallet Visa Card for global transactions and ATM withdrawals.
