Ryt Bank and Ranhill SAJ have introduced a cashback campaign for Johor customers paying water bills through selected channels, as reported by the New Straits Times.
Customers must activate a Ryt Bank account and pay at least RM10.50 to qualify. Cashback is capped at RM6 over two months.
Eligible payments include Ryt Bank’s Snap & Pay JomPAY feature, which captures bill details from an uploaded image, as well as Ryt Card transactions and payments at Ranhill SAJ counters.
Ranhill SAJ Interim CEO Mohd Hedzir Hanafi linked the tie-up to Johor’s digitalisation efforts, while Ryt Bank Interim CEO Wilson Soon positioned it as a way to make the bank’s payment tools part of routine household spending.
Ryt Bank, backed by YTL Digital Capital and Sea Limited, has surpassed 1.2 million users since its August 2025 launch.
Bill payments on the platform have grown more than tenfold in recent months.
The bank has also introduced Ryt PayLater on card, which lets eligible users switch between debit and buy now pay later instalments on the Ryt Card.
The feature offers up to RM1,499 in instant credit and works across DuitNow QR and Visa payment networks.
Ranhill SAJ is Johor’s sole water operator and manages 47 water treatment plants with a combined capacity of 2,351 million litres per day.
