Maybank has upgraded Maybank2E with online onboarding and digital account opening features aimed at simplifying business banking for SMEs.
The new Maybank2E platform brings cash management, trade finance and foreign exchange services into one regional business banking platform.
It is available through the web and the M2E Biz app, and serves SMEs, mid-sized businesses and larger corporates.
Businesses can manage transactions, payments and banking services through one login.
The platform also includes a single activation dashboard for selecting multiple services, with remote activation through the app.
Users can view cash and trade positions across markets, lock in foreign exchange rates for more than 20 currencies and customise their dashboards.
Onboarding has also been simplified for SMEs, with partnerships and Sdn Bhd companies able to open bank accounts online in minutes without submitting physical documents.
The previous version of Maybank2E focused mainly on cash management, with several services accessed through separate channels and branch touchpoints.
The latest version expands this into a broader digital banking platform for businesses.

Dato’ John Chong, Group Chief Executive Officer of Global Banking at Maybank, said,
“Leveraging our strong franchise in financing, we are accelerating our ROAR30 strategy to become ASEAN’s leading transactions and payments bank.
The new Maybank2E brings this vision to life by enabling more businesses, especially our SME and mid-cap clients, to respond swiftly to opportunities and risks across borders and around the clock.”
Maybank2E processed about RM3 trillion in transaction value across 122 million transactions in Malaysia in 2025.
The enhanced Maybank2E platform will be rolled out in Singapore and Indonesia in 2026, with more features to be added.
The upgrade forms part of Maybank’s ROAR30 plan, which includes RM10 billion in investments over five years in technology, data and artificial intelligence.
