NTT DATA has launched an agentic AI solution for insurers to support underwriting, claims and customer service workflows.
Built on its AIVista platform, the solution combines configurable AI agents with insurance-specific data models.
It also includes workflow orchestration and governance controls for regulated insurance environments.
The solution can integrate with existing insurer systems without locking carriers into a core platform.
It can also route tasks across different foundation models, reducing dependence on a single model.
It can be configured around an insurer’s products, processes and regulatory requirements while maintaining auditability and human oversight.
NTT DATA’s 2026 Global AI Report found that two-thirds of insurers want to use AI in front-office interactions, while 86% support its use across back- and mid-office workflows.
Most, however, have yet to industrialise agentic AI across their core operations.

“Insurance is built on human judgment that understands risk, prices fairly and stands behind promises when it matters most.
AI strengthens the ability of insurers to meet that responsibility, and NTT DATA AI for Insurance supports human expertise with intelligent systems that work within a governed operating layer for enterprise-scale transformation.”
said Bruno Abril, Global Lead, Insurance Industry, NTT DATA.
