Maybank has signed a five-year deal with ServiceNow to improve how it monitors banking systems and responds to potential disruptions across Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
The agreement will expand Maybank’s regional Resilience Operations Centre (ROC), giving its technology teams a clearer view of applications, infrastructure, technology assets and service dependencies.
Using ServiceNow’s AI platform, the bank plans to bring together operational data and analytics to identify potential risks before they affect banking services.
The platform’s Super Intelligence Control Tower will also support operational monitoring, asset management and workflow automation.
The rollout will begin in Malaysia and Singapore before expanding to Indonesia over the five-year period.
The initiative forms part of Maybank’s ROAR30 strategy and will support its ongoing efforts to meet security, governance and regulatory requirements across its markets.

Giorgio Migliarina, Maybank’s Group Chief Technology and Digital Officer, said,
“In line with our ROAR30 aspirations, this strategic agreement strengthens our ability to operate at scale across multiple markets while advancing the AI-powered operational intelligence capabilities that will support the next generation of banking services.
By combining greater visibility, automation and predictive insights, we are continuing to invest in the technology foundations that will significantly contribute towards delivering secure, seamless and always-on banking experiences across the region.”

Melissa Ries, Group Vice President and Managing Director for Asia at ServiceNow, said,
“Leaders want a single platform that gives them visibility of their entire operational portfolio and across every market to strengthen security and free their teams to focus on serving customers without interruption.
We are proud to work together with Maybank as it builds one of the most resilient banking operations in Southeast Asia.”
Maybank will also establish an internal Centre of Excellence supported by ServiceNow University to develop employees’ skills in platform engineering, automation and AI.
The bank will also participate in ServiceNow’s invite-only NowNext AI programme.
Specialised engineers will work with Maybank teams to develop AI and agentic AI use cases for banking operations.
