Tune Protect, through its reinsurance arm Tune Protect Re, is expanding its embedded travel insurance partnership with online booking platform Airpaz to Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
Following a rollout in Malaysia last year, the expansion forms part of the group’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia’s digital travel sector.
Customers can purchase travel insurance while booking flights on the Airpaz website or mobile application.
Policies are issued instantly, with digital access to coverage details and claims support channels.
Tune Protect Re is supporting the regional expansion through local insurance partnerships. These include Oona Insurance Indonesia, Krungthai Panich Insurance in Thailand and Pioneer Insurance & Surety Corporation in the Philippines.
The expansion targets markets with large travelling populations and strong digital adoption. Customers can obtain coverage during the flight booking process without navigating to a separate platform.

“By integrating insurance directly into the Airpaz platform, we are making it easier for travellers to access protection when planning their trips,”
said Janet Chin, Chief Executive Officer of Tune Protect Re.

“As travellers increasingly seek integrated solutions that offer both convenience and peace of mind, this partnership allows us to deliver greater value throughout the travel booking journey,”
said Wesley, Chief Partnership Officer of Airpaz.
Through the expansion, Tune Protect aims to strengthen its travel insurance distribution across Southeast Asia by working with digital travel platforms and regional insurance partners.
