We are a fast-growing regional fintech company, specializing in digital financing solutions for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Our innovative platform enables MSMEs to access fast, convenient and personalized financing options, leveraging the power of digital technology. We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Head of Operations to lead our operations team in Malaysia and drive our growth in the digital SME financing space.

  • Operations Strategy: Develop and execute the operations strategy to ensure smooth and efficient processes for the digital financing platform, focusing on enhancing customer experience and optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a young and vibrant operations team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and promoting professional growth and development among team members.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve operational workflows, identifying areas for optimization, automation, and streamlining to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
  • Risk Management: Implement robust risk management frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to SME financing operations. Mitigate operational risks and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, customer support, and technology teams, to align operational processes and achieve business objectives.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain operational metrics and performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of operations, identify trends, and provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Operations Expertise: Extensive experience in operational roles within the fintech industry, particularly in digital SME financing (payment operations will be helpful). Deep understanding of operational processes, risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Proven track record in leading and managing young teams, particularly in a fast-paced and dynamic fintech environment. Ability to motivate and inspire team members, foster a positive team culture, and drive performance.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify operational bottlenecks, design effective solutions, and make data-driven decisions. Ability to think strategically and anticipate operational challenges.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. Experience in managing relationships with external partners, regulators, and industry bodies is a plus.
  • Adaptability and Agility: Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing fintech landscape, adapt to new technologies and trends, and drive operational excellence through innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial principles, particularly related to SME financing (digital payments will be helpful), to ensure effective operational management aligned with financial goals.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and best practices in the fintech industry, especially in the context of SME financing (digital payment operations will be helpful) in Malaysia.
