pitchIN has introduced Malaysia’s first equity crowdfunding (ECF)-focused microfund campaign, the Spartan Elevation Fund.
This was launched in partnership with Spartan Ives Capital, a venture capital firm registered with the Securities Commission Malaysia.
Spartan Ives Capital manages RM275 million in assets under management (AUM).
The Spartan Elevation Fund enables angel and sophisticated investors to participate in venture capital investments with lower capital requirements than traditional VC funds, which often mandate a minimum investment of RM250,000.
The fund focuses on supporting local businesses listed on the pitchIN platform while retaining the flexibility to explore other investment opportunities.
Its approach combines targeted investment in equity crowdfunding businesses with the ability to diversify into other opportunities, offering a balanced and adaptable strategy.
“This microfund lowers the barriers for investors, enabling them to back some of Malaysia’s most promising high-growth companies led by visionary and hard-working entrepreneurs.
We believe this fund will not only empower local businesses but also drive impactful growth in Malaysia’s economy by connecting investors with the next generation of industry leaders.”
said Christopher Wong, Director and Founding Partner of Spartan Ives Capital.
“The microfund campaign not only allows angel and sophisticated investors to build a diverse portfolio, but also bypasses the time-consuming process of identifying investment opportunities, as the VC will do the legwork for them.
This approach further accelerates the growth of Malaysia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem while offering investors a more seamless, efficient investment experience.”
added Sam Shafie, Co-founder and CEO of pitchIN.
