AEON Bank has launched “Neko Missions,” a gamified loyalty programme within its digital banking app.
This enables its users to collect virtual “Neko Paws” through transactions to enhance engagement and promote cashless payments.
The programme integrates with AEON’s retail ecosystem, including ZUS Coffee and Tealive, and is supported by PayNet’s DuitNow QR programme.
AEON Bank’s existing AEON Points programme rewards customers for shopping at AEON stores, and Neko Missions expands this by offering rewards through merchant partnerships.
Until 31 March 2025, customers can earn one Neko Paw per DuitNow QR transaction of RM20 or more, up to two per day.
Ten Neko Paws can be redeemed for 1,000 AEON Points, equivalent to RM5, through the app.
A partnership with ZUS Coffee, running until 31 May 2025, allows customers to earn Neko Paws by using their AEON Bank Debit Card-i for purchases of RM7 or more.
Six Neko Paws can be redeemed for rewards through the ZUS Coffee app, subject to the app’s redemption terms.
Future Neko Missions will include collaborations with myAEON2Go, AEON Fantasy, Tealive, Sisters Crispy Popiah, and others.
AEON Bank also encourages customers to use their AEON Bank Visa Debit Card-i for online and in-store purchases to earn additional AEON Points, which can be redeemed for cash value via the app.
The “Share-Share Lah Referral Programme” offers 1,800 AEON Points (worth RM9) for each successful referral of a new Savings Account-i customer.

Azrul Fakhzan B. Mainor, PayNet’s Senior Director of Commercial, said,
“With Neko Missions, we are integrating incentives into everyday transactions, encouraging more Malaysians to embrace cashless payments while enjoying meaningful rewards.
This will strengthen customer engagement, as well as accelerate the shift toward a more connected, inclusive, and digitally empowered economy.”

YM Raja Teh Maimunah Raja Abdul Aziz, CEO of AEON Bank, said,
“Neko Missions infuses fun in daily payment and shopping activities, making cashless financial habits more dynamic.
We will further develop our loyalty programme and through Neko Missions, we will explore partnerships with various merchants partners within our ecosystem, while leveraging on each others’ USP and customers brand affinity.“
