RHB has launched its Flood Relief Assistance Programme to support individuals and SMEs affected across the country.
The programme offers short-term financial relief, though customers should note that deferred instalments may lead to higher overall financing costs due to accrued interest or profit.
Eligible individuals may apply for up to six months of instalment deferment on mortgages, ASB Loan or Term Financing-i, personal loans or Financing-i, and hire purchase or Hire Purchase-i facilities.
Credit Card-i holders may receive waivers of up to RM500 on late payment charges and interest or actual management fees for up to six months, along with fee waivers for ATM, Debit Card-i and Credit Card-i replacements.
Applications made in November will begin the following month, while those submitted in December will start in January. The final date to apply is 31 December 2025.
SMEs may also apply for up to six months of instalment deferment on hire purchase and term loan or Financing-i facilities, as well as deferment of bills under Multi Trade Lines-i.
They may request up to six months’ deferment of accrued interest or profit on Overdraft-i facilities.
All applications will be reviewed individually, and the programme is not available for facilities in arrears for more than 90 days or for individuals or businesses under bankruptcy or winding-up proceedings.

Dato’ Mohd Rashid Mohamad, RHB Banking Group Managing Director / Group Chief Executive Officer said,
“Our priority is to support families, businesses, and communities affected by the floods.
In addition to financial assistance, RHB will also assist in recovery efforts, including the distribution of ready-to-eat meal packs for displaced families, as well as post-flood kits to help households clean, rebuild, and regain stability.”
Individuals may apply at any RHB branch, the Auto Finance Sales Centre, or by calling the Customer Contact Centre at 03-9206 8118.
SME customers may contact their relationship managers, visit a Business Banking Centre, or call the Customer Contact Centre for assistance.
