CapBay has entered a financing partnership aimed at helping Bumiputera contractors manage working capital for public sector projects.
The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bumiputera Infrastructure and Facility Management Contractors Association (PKIF) to improve access to digital financing for contractors involved in infrastructure and facilities management.
The partnership is expected to benefit around 70 active members, particularly those working on road construction, bridge works, electrical projects and facility maintenance.
These contractors typically manage projects for agencies such as the Public Works Department (JKR), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW).
CapBay said the initiative is intended to address cash flow constraints that often limit smaller contractors’ ability to take on larger projects.
“As a fintech entity committed to the growth of SMEs in general, this collaboration represents our proactive step in assisting SMEs involved in the nation’s infrastructure and facility management industries.
With a track record of disbursing RM5 billion in funds to over 2,400 SMEs, CapBay is ready to catalyze transformation in this sector through more dynamic capital liquidity,”
said Aminbasha Bin Basharudin, General Manager, Industry Specialist at CapBay.

Dato’ Sri Dr. Hj. Arifuddin Bin Mohamed Shah, President of PKIF, said,
“This strategic partnership is a manifestation of our commitment to safeguarding the welfare and progress of our members.
With the support of financing access facilities from CapBay, we are confident that PKIF members will become more competitive and capable of contributing more significantly to the country’s economic development.”
The collaboration aligns with the MADANI Economy framework and the National Construction Policy 2030, and is expected to support smoother project execution by reducing funding constraints.
