microLEAP has partnered Commerce Access Sdn Bhd (CASB) and Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC) to help SMEs manage working capital needs when taking on government projects.
The collaboration aims to improve financing readiness among SMEs and increase awareness of financing solutions under the SARANA Programme.
The programme supports eligible SMEs and contractors undertaking government-related projects through participating Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) regulated peer-to-peer (P2P) financing platforms.
Government contracts offer growth opportunities for SMEs. However, many businesses face working capital challenges when mobilising projects, purchasing materials and managing operational expenses.
They may also need to fulfil contractual obligations before receiving payments from government agencies.
To address these challenges, the collaboration brings together financing solutions, capacity-building programmes and ecosystem support.
The partners aim to help businesses secure and deliver government contracts more effectively.
Workshops to Build Financing Readiness
microLEAP is one of the participating P2P financing platforms under the SARANA Programme.
It provides Shariah-compliant financing solutions to eligible government contractors and suppliers.
The scheme offers invoice financing to support cash flow after project delivery.
It also provides financing for contract implementation, helping businesses meet upfront working capital needs before project execution.
The collaboration will include four regional workshops across the Klang Valley, Johor, Penang and Sarawak.
The first session will be held at the Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC) headquarters on 28 July 2026.
The workshops will provide practical guidance on government procurement, financing readiness, project execution and financing solutions available to eligible businesses.

microLEAP Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Tunku Danny Nasaifuddin Mudzaffar, said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening SME participation in government-led economic activities.
“Many SMEs have the capability to undertake government projects but face challenges accessing working capital at critical stages of project execution. Through this collaboration, we aim to bridge that gap by combining financing solutions, practical guidance and ecosystem support to help more businesses participate and grow.
By bringing together financing, knowledge sharing and industry engagement, we hope to empower more Malaysian businesses to secure opportunities, execute projects successfully and contribute to the nation’s economic development,”
he said.

Meanwhile, Commerce Access Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Hajah Afidah Kamaruddin said the initiative would help strengthen SME readiness for government contracting opportunities.
“Commerce Access Sdn Bhd (CASB) is a Malaysian-based business process outsourcing and customer experience provider, specialising in contact centre operations, CX governance, and digital service delivery to help government and enterprise clients improve customer engagement and operational efficiency,”
she said.
The four workshops are expected to engage hundreds of SMEs across Malaysia, strengthening awareness of financing solutions available under the SARANA Programme and supporting greater participation in government contracts.
