CapBay, a Malaysian supply chain financing provider, has entered a strategic partnership with Singapore-based Olea to support Malaysian exporters through cross-border financing.

The collaboration aims to help Malaysian enterprises expand into global markets by combining CapBay’s SME network and financing infrastructure with Olea’s international trade expertise and liquidity solutions.

Olea has processed over US$2 billion in trade transactions across key global corridors.

CapBay, which launched in 2017, has disbursed more than RM4.3 billion in financing through over 35,000 financing notes, supporting over 2,200 SMEs across 20 industries.

It operates in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, and is regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia.

Olea, headquartered in Singapore, directs global liquidity to trade and supply chain finance solutions.

It leverages technology to deliver scalable, transparent, and efficient financing services, and has a presence in markets including Vietnam and India.

CapBay’s Director of International Expansion, Jasmine Lau, said cross-border transactions currently account for 10% of the group’s revenue, with a goal to grow this to 30% through partnerships like this one.
