TNG Digital, the operator of TNG eWallet, has launched a fully digital process for first-time investors to access Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) investments.
According to a statement from the company, this makes it the first e-wallet in Malaysia to offer such a service, eliminating the need for physical branch visits.
New ASNB users can now register through TNG eWallet, complete the onboarding form, and start investing with a minimum of RM10 in Fixed Price Funds or Variable Price Funds.
The upgraded TNG eWallet service allows users to access personal and dependent accounts, check total investments, view fund breakdowns, review transaction history, and invest in existing funds.
Additionally, the new Third Party Investment feature enables users to invest ASNB funds on behalf of others.
These features are part of TNG eWallet’s broader financial services hub, designed to help Malaysians make better financial decisions.
Since ASNB investment was first introduced on TNG eWallet in August 2023, 12 million ASNB unit holders have gained digital access to their funds.
Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital said,
“Since the launch of ASNB investment on TNG eWallet in August 2023, we’ve empowered 12 million ASNB unit holders to digitally access and invest in all ASNB funds through their eWallet. With this latest enhancement, we cement our position as a pioneer in seamless digital onboarding to new users above 18 years old.
This milestone underscores our dedication to redefine convenience and financial empowerment through digital inclusion, ensuring that every Malaysian has access to financial investment opportunities.”
