Bursa Malaysia Berhad has launched a new API Gateway to streamline the Central Depository System (CDS) account management process for participating organisations or brokers.
This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of account activation and real-time trading for retail investors.
The API Gateway simplifies the onboarding process for investors, reducing the time required to open, update, or reactivate accounts. This improvement allows investors to trade more swiftly.
Additionally, the API Gateway supports participating organisations in digitalising their processes, contributing to better customer experience and sustainability efforts by reducing carbon footprints.
The API Gateway for CDS e-services is now operational. Currently, five participating organisations, including AmInvestment Bank Berhad, FSMOne, Hong Leong Investment Bank, Malacca Securities, and Moomoo Securities Malaysia, have signed up for the API service.
Other interested parties can find more information on Bursa Malaysia’s website or contact the depository operations team.
This new API Gateway complements the recently launched BURSA Remisier Acquisition Hub (BURSA REACH), a platform designed to connect investors with dealer’s representatives.
Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia said,
“The exchange actively listens to the evolving needs of our customers. This initiative is key in delivering on our commitment towards greater customer-centricity.
We will continue to work closely with our POs [participating organisations] and introduce service innovations to attract more investors, bolstering the competitiveness of our market.”
