RHB Banking Group has announced several key leadership appointments, effective 1 August 2024.
Mohamed Bin Rastam Shahrom has been appointed Group Chief Financial Officer.
He brings significant experience from roles such as Acting Group CEO and Group CFO at Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad and CFO at UEM Sunrise.
His expertise spans across various domains including finance, strategy, change management, business development, and stakeholder management.
Meanwhile, Phuah Shok Cheng will take on the role of Regional Chief Financial Officer and Head of Capital Strategy.
Phuah, who has been with RHB since January 2024 as Acting Group CFO, will now focus on driving regional financial performance and shaping the capital strategy.
Additionally, Kevin Vijendren Davies has been named Managing Director and CEO of RHB Investment Bank Berhad.
Kevin, with a background in corporate and investment banking, previously served as Managing Director, Client Coverage at Maybank Investment Bank.
He will now lead RHB Investment Bank, guiding its strategic business direction.
Lastly, Tan Boon Ching will assume the role of Group Chief Internal Auditor.
Tan, who has served as CFO of RHB Investment Bank Berhad and Head of International Strategy and Governance, will oversee the group’s audit strategy and risk management framework in his new position.
