Bank Islam today introduced its new digital banking platforms, BIMB Mobile and BIMB Web.

This will serve to replace the current GO by Bank Islam app, which has been in use for about five years and served 1.9 million active users.

The launch marks a step forward in the bank’s digital transformation, aimed at providing customers with a more streamlined and secure banking experience.

The new platforms come with updated features and functionalities designed to address changing market needs.

BIMB Mobile and BIMB Web feature a refreshed interface and tools to simplify everyday banking tasks.

Built on an upgraded technological foundation, the platforms are designed for scalability and stability, with improved security measures to safeguard user data.

The bank highlighted the growing demand for digital banking, noting that customers conducted 5.9 billion online transactions as of October 2024, including 3.5 billion via its internet banking services.

While encouraging customers to migrate to the new platforms, Bank Islam confirmed that the current GO app and internet banking services will remain operational until November 2025 to ensure a smooth transition.

Customers can download the BIMB Mobile app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery.

“Encouraged by customer feedback, we have designed the platforms with a modern interface and advanced features that deliver an amplified user experience tailored for today’s digital lifestyle, regardless of digital proficiency.

The new features also embrace the concept of branchless banking, offering unparalleled convenience for our customers.”
