Google Cloud has appointed Hana Raja as Country Manager for its operations in Malaysia.
She will be responsible for leading the local go-to-market strategy and operations for both Google Cloud and Google Workspace.
Hana will report to Serene Sia, Country Director for Malaysia and Singapore.
She brings over 16 years of experience to the role, having previously held leadership positions at Cisco and Bain & Company.
At Cisco, she served as Managing Director for Malaysia and led strategy and operations for Southeast Asia.
Her experience spans sectors including financial services, retail, consumer packaged goods, healthcare, automotive, energy and utilities, and the public sector.
She joins Google Cloud at a time when the company is deepening its presence in Malaysia.
In May 2024, Google announced a US$2 billion investment to develop a new data center and Google Cloud region in Elmina Business Park, Selangor. Construction began in October.
The company is also supporting initiatives such as a sovereign cloud collaboration with Dagang NeXchange Berhad (DNeX), AI at Work 2.0 with the Ministry of Digital and the National AI Office (NAIO), Teraju AI Selangor with the Selangor state government, and the Gamuda AI Academy.

Hana Raja, Country Manager, Malaysia, Google Cloud, said,
“I’m excited to be joining Google Cloud to advance our work with these organisations. We have strong ambitions for further growth in Malaysia and I look forward to continuing to expand our local team and partner ecosystem.
Together, we can build on the company’s successes to date and increase the scope and scale of our collaborations with the government and businesses. This will ultimately accelerate their delivery of next-generation digital services to better serve Malaysians and strengthen Malaysia’s position as a global technology hub.”

Serene Sia, Country Director, Malaysia and Singapore, Google Cloud, said,
“With her rich vision, experience, industry network, and focus on people and culture, Hana will play an important role in advancing our growth journey in this key market.
We are confident that her leadership will help more local organisations thrive in a digital economy that’s projected to be worth up to US$70 billion by 2030.”
