Bank Muamalat has launched ATLAS, a Shariah-compliant digital banking platform that lets customers open and manage savings accounts without visiting a branch.
The platform includes a Shariah-compliant savings solution and a Savings Pouch feature offering a profit rate of up to 2.25 percent per annum.
ATLAS also offers lifestyle features for Muslim users, including prayer times, daily supplications, Al-Quran access, kiblat direction and mosque locators. Bank Muamalat plans to add aqiqah and qurban services in future updates.
The launch follows Bank Muamalat’s earlier digital overhaul, which included a multi-year partnership with Google Cloud and plans to integrate its systems with Mambu’s digital banking platform and Backbase’s engagement banking platform.

Datuk Khairul Kamarudin, President and CEO of Bank Muamalat, said,
“Guided by the principle of Amanah, we are entrusted to serve our customers with integrity, transparency and responsibility. ATLAS embodies this trust by delivering solutions that are not only innovative, but also aligned with the best interests and long-term well-being of our customers.
As Malaysia accelerates towards a digital economy, ATLAS also plays a critical role in expanding access to inclusive and secure financial services, ensuring no segment of society is left behind in this transformation.”
ATLAS was built in nine months, with Bank Muamalat’s Hazrizal Hassan discussing the execution behind the platform.

The platform also includes a Lifestyle Reward Points system for everyday banking activities.
Bank Muamalat plans to add financing and investment solutions to ATLAS within the year as it expands the platform into a wider digital financial services ecosystem.
The platform also allows customers to participate in the bank’s Save2Win campaign without visiting a branch.
The official launch is taking place from 29 April to 3 May 2026 at IOI Mall Putrajaya.
Customers who register for an ATLAS account and activate it with a minimum deposit in conjunction with the launch will be eligible for a lucky draw.
