UOB Malaysia has expanded its Privilege Banking offering as it targets twice as many affluent customers by 2028.

The bank’s invested assets under management in its affluent wealth business have grown 30% since 2024, driven mainly by its fixed-income solutions.

It has also seen more affluent customers move a greater share of their savings and investable assets into investment products.

UOB Group manages S$210 billion, or about RM653 billion, in assets across its retail banking business.

Elaine Fan, Country Head of Personal Financial Services at UOB Malaysia, said,

“Malaysia’s investment culture is evolving rapidly, and there remains a clear gap between what clients need and what traditional banking models typically offer.

Our focus is on bridging that gap by strengthening relationships with our clients and supporting them with the right advice as they transition towards more diverse, long-term wealth strategies.”

The enhanced UOB Privilege Banking proposition provides customers with a single dedicated client adviser supported by specialists in investments, treasury, insurance and mortgages.

Customers can access unit trusts, retail bonds, structured investments, foreign exchange, gold, bancassurance and legacy planning services.

The bank also provides regular portfolio reviews and market insights from its Private Bank Chief Investment Office.

Privilege Banking customers will receive selected dining, travel, entertainment and healthcare benefits.

These include a 30% discount for customers and one accompanying guest on selected health screening packages at participating Sunway Medical Centres until 31 July 2026.
