Hong Leong Bank (HLB) has formally launched HLB opus, an invite-only card for a select group of clients, built on Visa‘s Infinite Privilege tier.
HLB first announced Malaysia’s first Visa Infinite Privilege card back in July 2026.
This launch marks the card’s official unveiling, adding its ceramic design and full set of travel and lifestyle partnerships.
The card is made from Convego® Ceramic, developed with card technology provider Giesecke+Devrient (G+D).
HLB describes it as Southeast Asia’s first credit card crafted in ceramic.
The bank positions HLB opus as part of a “One Bank” client model which connects its Business & Corporate Banking, Private Banking, and Personal Financial Services units to serve clients across their business and personal wealth.

“HLB opus celebrates our clients’ lives,” said Andrew Jong, HLB’s Managing Director of Personal Financial Services.
“Every success is hard earned, born of ambition, tempered by grit, lifted by community, rooted in family, and anchored in identity. Together with our partners, HLB opus honours that success with world-class global privileges, premier travel rewards and bespoke experiences.”
HLB opus clients get access to unlimited Plaza Premium Lounge visits worldwide, Visa private club access, immigration fast-track passes, and status matches with Harrods Gold, ALL Accor+ Explorer Gold, and Banyan Voyager.

“Today’s affluent consumers are looking beyond traditional notions of luxury, placing greater value on experiences that feel personal, distinctive and reflective of what they have achieved,” said Jason Phua, Head of Clients at Visa Malaysia.
“HLB opus brings this to life by combining the global privileges of Visa Infinite Privilege with Hong Leong Bank’s deep understanding of its most valued clients.”
The card also extends HLB’s existing Malaysia Airlines Enrich partnership. It offers the highest Enrich Points earning rate HLB has offered to date.
Clients unlock 60,000 Enrich Points upon payment of the annual fee.
They also earn 1 Elite Point for every RM10,000 spent overseas, with redemptions across the oneworld alliance.
HLB opus adds to HLB’s broader wealth strategy, which includes its Private Bank’s partnership with Lombard Odier.
The card stands as the latest layer in HLB’s push to grow its business and wealth franchise.
