Maybank customers can now invest in a Shariah-compliant money market fund through the MAE app from RM10.

The new Savings+ feature provides access to the fund, which is managed by Maybank Asset Management.

It aims to maintain liquidity by investing in relatively short-term and liquid assets. Potential returns stood at up to 3.32% per annum as of 30 June 2026.

Returns are calculated daily and credited monthly. They are not guaranteed and may vary depending on market conditions and fund performance.

Users can complete the required onboarding and suitability assessment, monitor their investment performance and set up automatic monthly investments within the app.

Savings+ has no lock-in period. Investments and withdrawals are processed within an average of two business days.

Savings+ is available through the MAE app.

Mohd Amri bin Mohd Sofian, Head, Community Financial Services Malaysia said,

“At Maybank, we believe investing should be as simple and accessible as everyday banking. With Savings+, customers can start their investment journey from just RM10 and manage their money seamlessly within the MAE app they already use daily.

This reflects our commitment to humanising financial services by making wealth-building more accessible, convenient and relevant to every Malaysian.”

How to Access Savings+ Through the MAE App

The launch expands MAE’s range of investment products, which includes the Maybank Islamic Gold Account-i, Maybank Goal-Based Investment and ASNB Investment.

Maybank Savings+ is available to new and existing customers.

Savings+ is an investment product rather than a savings or deposit account.

Customers should review the relevant product documents for details on fees, risks and processing times.
