The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has opened a new flagship office in Kuala Lumpur to support local talent and boost economic growth in Malaysia.
Since 2002, LSEG has delivered vital indices, global data, analytics, and capital markets services in the Malaysian financial landscape.
In March this year, LSEG announced that it will be working with Bursa Malaysia to launch a Centralised Sustainability Reporting platform.
YB Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Malaysia said,
“The launch of LSEG’s flagship office in Kuala Lumpur is a recognition of Malaysia’s pro-business, pro-investment stand in attracting foreign companies to locate their operations here, while creating high-value career opportunities that nurture domestic talent.
This endorsement of Malaysia’s status as a premier investment destination will strongly encourage us to continuously invest towards making Malaysia the gateway to Southeast Asia.”
Thomas Frossell, Group Head of Customer Operations, LSEG said,
“We are delighted to open our flagship office in Kuala Lumpur, reaffirming our commitment to the Malaysian market and its economic vision. We firmly believe in the potential of the local talent pool and are excited to expand our workforce, enabling us to better serve our clients while contributing to the growth and development of Malaysia’s financial sector.
The establishment of this office underscores LSEG’s dedication to provide market infrastructure solutions that are pivotal for the country’s globalisation efforts, foreign capital attractiveness, and integration of global best practices into the local financial ecosystem.”
