The conference brought together over 450 accountants and bookkeepers, compliance industry experts and keynote speakers to discuss e-invoicing compliance mandates, the latest QuickBooks innovations and navigating through the evolving digital accounting landscape.
Quickbooks’ Peppol-Accredited E-invoicing Solution Coming Soon to Malaysia
One of the highlights of the forum was the introduction of QuickBooks’ upcoming e-invoicing solution, powered by SOVOS, a Peppol-accredited compliance solutions provider.
Tanveer Ahmad, APAC VP of Sales at SOVOS, and Kayur Desai (KD), the Global Markets Sales and Marketing Director at Intuit QuickBooks, provided direct insights into the new solution.
This innovative offering is set to revolutionise the way businesses handle invoicing, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations and streamlining processes for greater efficiency.
Embracing Innovation in the Changing Accounting Landscape
The day kicked off with Amanda Newton, the Group Manager – Accountant Segment (Global Markets) at Intuit QuickBooks, showcasing the platform’s new flexible solutions.
She also shared top tips for using QuickBooks Online Accountant, the all-in-one cloud accounting platform designed for accounting professionals to manage their own accounting business and their clients.
This session was particularly valuable for attendees looking to maximise the potential of QuickBooks in their daily operations.
Attendees witnessed a deep dive into the latest additions to the QuickBooks Suite, including QuickBooks Ledger, designed for low-transacting and low-complexity clients, and QuickBooks Advanced, tailored for accountants managing growing and larger business clients.
The forum also demonstrated how QuickBooks is leveraging Intuit Assist, a generative AI model, to provide intelligent and personalised recommendations that drive small business and personal financial success.
This integration of AI technology highlights QuickBooks’ focus on enhancing accounting processes.
Navigating Digital Disruption
Before the conference concluded, the forum featured a keynote session by Aaron Sharma, an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and ex-Head of Digital Development for MDEC.
He discussed the impact of digital evolution on the accounting profession and explored strategies to navigate through the disruption, such as investing in the right technology and expanding relevant skills.
Aaron’s insights were particularly timely, given the rapid pace of technological change and the need for accounting professionals to adapt and stay ahead of the curve.
