Malaysian digital bank GXBank has launched its TeXnovasi Accelerator Programme to mark its first anniversary.
TeXnovasi was organised in collaboration with Grab, Cradle, and MyStartup, and led by 1337 Ventures.
The six-month programme is designed to support pre-seed and seed-stage startups in Malaysia focused on digital banking and financial solutions.
It aims to help early-stage businesses refine and scale their ideas while driving innovation in digital banking.
Startups in the accelerator will address challenges in financial inclusion, SME financial services, digital security, and customer experience innovation.
The programme offers personalised mentorship from industry experts, including leaders from GXBank and Grab, alongside deep-dive workshops to tackle specific business challenges.
Participants will also have opportunities to connect with potential investors, partners, and financial institutions, fostering collaboration and expanding opportunities within the financial ecosystem.
Applications for the TeXnovasi Accelerator Programme opened on 5 November 2024, with shortlisted startups notified to proceed to virtual interviews.
Following the selection process, the programme kicks off on 23 January 2025 with virtual onboarding, working hours, and mentorship sessions.
In March 2025, startups will pitch their ideas to qualify for the next phase, where they will work on developing and testing their Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) from March to May 2025.
At the end of this period, startups will present their PoCs during Demo Day to key stakeholders from GXBank and Grab, potentially paving the way for future collaboration.
The programme will conclude in May 2025 with the announcement of the top three winners.
