Bursa Malaysia has partnered with TERAJU to expand the pipeline of Bumiputera companies heading for IPOs.
The two parties signed a Memorandum of Collaboration to increase Bumiputera participation in Malaysia’s capital market and strengthen the Exchange’s IPO pipeline.
Under the MoC, Bursa Malaysia will guide selected high potential companies in meeting IPO listing requirements.
The exchange will provide advisory support, networking with capital market intermediaries and capacity building programmes to strengthen compliance and governance standards.
TERAJU will identify suitable companies, facilitate access to funding and incentives, and coordinate with government agencies, financial institutions and industry stakeholders to provide holistic support throughout the listing process.

Dato’ Fad’l Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia said,
“This initiative aligns with national ambitions under Pelan Transformasi Ekonomi Bumiputera (PuTERA35), which targets 30% Bumiputera equity ownership by 2035, signalling a broader and more inclusive economic future.
There is considerable untapped potential among Bumiputera companies, and we are committed to supporting them in taking the next step towards becoming listed companies.”

Junady Nawawi, Chief Executive Officer of TERAJU, said,
“The MoC marks a strategic and firm commitment to supporting Bumiputera companies on their journey towards a successful IPO – a process that requires guidance, planning, and strong discipline.
This initiative focuses on addressing the missing middle—mid-sized Bumiputera companies with strong growth potential that often fall between existing support frameworks.”
Bursa Malaysia’s subsidiary BR Capital has also signed a Letter of Collaboration with TERAJU to support debt and alternative capital solutions, as well as capital market readiness initiatives for eligible enterprises.
The move is aimed at helping companies scale ahead of a potential IPO and strengthening the overall listing pipeline.
Bursa Malaysia and TERAJU have been participating in IPO roadshows nationwide to raise awareness among companies considering listings.
